KZN Sustainable Energy Forum (KSEF)

The purpose of the KZN Sustainable Energy Forum (KSEF) is to facilitate the development of the sustainable energy sector in KZN through information dissemination and networking opportunities.  It is an initiative of the Durban Industry Climate Changer Partnership Project and is jointly funded by the eThekwini Energy Office and United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I become a member of KSEF and what does it involve?
Register here by submitting your details. No membership fees or registration costs are currently required of any KSEF member.

Being a member of KSEF, your information will be added to the KSEF database, to which only the chair and KSEF manager has access to.    You are also able to publically advertise your organisation details on the KSEF website if you wish.

2. What does KSEF offer me / my business / my organisation?

You will be invited to all Forum Meetings, which act as a platform where new and current SE projects in KZN are introduced, allow for questions to be raised and input made by other stakeholders and I&APs who have relevant expertise on these SE projects, identify institutional barriers to SE projects and seek to conceptualise solutions to these barriers, and foster informed discussion to contribute the most appropriate and practical implementation of these SE research projects

You will also receive notice of the most recent tenders for SE projects in KZN through eThekwini’s Energy Office. And you will also benefit from the opportunity to network with other KSEF members.

3. Where is KSEF based and when does KSEF meet?

Because KSEF is currently housed in eThekwini’s Energy Office, in Durban, most Forum Meetings are held in Durban. The Forum Meetings are open to all KSEF members and are held every quarter.

4. How can I advertise my sustainable energy business on the KSEF website?

Currently KSEF members can select an option to advertise their organisation details on our service providers list. If you are registered and have not been publicly listed, please contact
